New Delhi (India), August 17: Shreya Dave, who is known for playing various versatile roles, from a comedy role in the Gujarati web series “Great Dhamal Chokdi” for MX Player to a serious role in Gujrati critically acclaimed Film “Masti ni Paathshala” has been roped in Sony TV’s newly launched show Barsatein.
She will be playing the Character of Step Sister of Shivangi Joshi. Further details of the character and plot of her role are not revealed yet, but it will be interesting to watch this talented and beautiful actress in the show.
Shreya’s journey from being an ordinary girl in a middle-class family in Rajkot, Gujarat, to a beautiful and talented actress working in films and Television has been quite interesting.
From a young age, Shreya aspired to pursue a career that would allow her to make a difference in the world. Her father passed away when she was just Nine years old. She and her younger brother Vedant Dave were then raised by single parents, i.e., her mother, Mrs Nila Dave. Shreya completed her Graduation in English Literature at Mahila College, Rajkot and also did her B.Sc. in Fashion Designing from INIFD, Rajkot, simultaneously. Along with her graduation, she also pursued her hobby of singing. She became the lead singer in a Rock band and started performing in various events and at various places. But due to being from a conservative joint family where she was opposed to continuing as a rock band member, and despite her mother being supportive of her choices, she had to quit singing in Rock Band.
After the completion of her graduation in fashion design, Shreya started working as an assistant to a Well established Fashion stylist in Mumbai. Due to her notable designing and styling skills, Shreya got a Marathi Film, “Oh My Ghost”(released in 2021), as a costume designer and stylist. While doing her job as Fashion Stylist, she started appearing in various clothing and fashion shoots. Her captivating looks and talent caught the attention of filmmakers, leading to her debut in the Gujarati movie industry. She made her debut in the Gujarati film “Ekde ek” as a parallel lead (as Rahi). Her Second Project was a Gujarati Horror-Comedy web Series, “Great Dhamal Chokdi”, on MX Player, in which she played the role of Juhi, which was liked by people a lot and got a good fan following on Instagram. Her Recent Film is “Masti Ni Pathshala” which is still running in cinemas in its Sixth week in Gujarat. In this Film, she played the role of “Vidya” who is the female lead of the Film. And recently, she completed the shoot for her upcoming Gujarati Film “Madhav Marji” with Tushar Sadhu, which is slated to be released in September.

She recently got engaged to her actor-producer boyfriend Varun Parashar, with whom she was in a relationship for the last five years, and the duo are planning to tie the knot very soon.
