Dr. Rajesh Balakrishnan (Professor at University of Virginia School of Medicine and mentor to Dr. Akram Ahmad) inaugurating Jobslly- India’s First Healthcare Job Platform
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], February 05: Academically Global announced the launch of Jobslly, a first-of-its-kind healthcare-focused career platform created to support doctors, pharmacists, dentists, physiotherapists, and allied healthcare professionals in getting high-paying job opportunities in India and abroad.
Numerous job portals operate in India. None of them addresses the regulatory complexity, credentialing requirements, and roles specific to the healthcare career domain. Some consultancies even indulge in fraudulent activities and extort money from job aspirants. Jobslly was developed as a focused solution to this gap, with an exclusive emphasis on 100% verified healthcare-focused jobs.
Jobslly supports the vision of the Government of India’s Skill India Digital Hub by helping healthcare professionals develop industry-relevant skills and connect with verified job opportunities in India and abroad, contributing to employment and an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The vision behind Jobslly is closely linked to the personal journey of its founder, Dr. Akram Ahmad. Raised in Sahaswan, a small town with limited academic and professional exposure, Dr. Akram experienced early the constraints faced by students from underserved regions. His later academic and research work at The University of Sydney further shaped the idea for Jobslly through direct exposure to global workforce challenges.
A taxi ride in Sydney during his research tenure, where the driver shared that he held a pharmacy degree but worked outside the profession due to a lack of awareness about licensing exams, preparation pathways, and job options. “That conversation stayed with me,” Dr. Ahmad said. “It reflected a reality that education alone does not guarantee employability, especially in regulated professions like healthcare.”
Dr. Rajesh Balkrishnan, Professor at University of Virginia School of Medicine and mentor to Dr. Akram Ahmad, travelled from the United States to mark the Jobslly inauguration event in Dehradun. “I have seen Dr. Akram’s journey from a young professional exploring possibilities to a leader building platforms with real impact. Jobslly reflects a clear understanding of the challenges healthcare professionals face today and the responsibility to create informed, ethical and globally relevant career pathways,” he said.
Over the years, similar patterns emerged in India through Dr. Akram’s work with healthcare students and professionals. Many medical graduates are unable to pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) despite making repeated attempts. This happens often due to limited knowledge of alternative global pathways and equally high-paying non-clinical career options within healthcare. These challenges frequently led to prolonged uncertainty and emotional distress among aspirants.
“Education, upskilling, and employment cannot exist in isolation,” Dr. Ahmad said. “Jobslly connects these elements so that healthcare professionals can make informed decisions and progress with purpose.”
Jobslly helps you upskill as a healthcare professional, get verified jobs in clinical and non-clinical roles, resume curation guidance, and expert support within a single platform. It uses cutting-edge AI infrastructure to connect talents with skills needed in top hospitals, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, CROs, and healthcare consulting firms.
Jobslly’s official website is live. Healthcare professionals can sign up and apply to global healthcare organisations in India and abroad.
