Zen wisdom: the philosophy of simply living in the present moment, detaching from the stress and worries.

Mindful Productivity: the practice of doing our tasks with intentionality and awareness.

New Delhi (India), August 9: These are the two sides of the New Work-Life Equation. Indeed, this seamless integration demands continuous efforts, adaptability, and introspection. However, the rewards are also significant for those willing to adopt these principles and design their journey in the modern work setting.

In today’s hyper-connected world, flexible time is an asset. However, along with the increased flexibility comes an increased level of accountability. Therefore, such individuals need to learn to set clear boundaries and maintain a sense of discipline. Consequently, they can adapt to their work schedules to better accommodate their personal and professional preferences.

Inspired and encouraged by this realization, I decided to participate in Dak Kawad Yatra this year, one of India’s largest annual pilgrimages. I was overwhelmed by the sensation during my journey which was one of absolute devotion and faith. Witnessing the human spirit in its pure form allowed me to learn more about teamwork and coordination and had an uplifting experience. I had the opportunity to explore every aspect of the spiritual adventure. As people travelled to or from Haridwar to experience the positive aura, there were a few times of negative buzz, partly influenced by the media but partly based on actual events. I would like to applaud Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) Police for their efforts in maintaining order and ensuring the safety of devotees. Overall, it is a great achievement for me to complete this intense journey of 230 km doing a relay race from Haridwar to East Delhi and reaching the destination on Maha Shivaratri.

Pointing out the fact that I was partially engaged in my work too, reviewing my emails on my phone once a day indicates that the line between work and personal life has become blurry. Hence the approach to strike a balance between the two is becoming more fluid and dynamic. Welcoming tranquillity in our daily habits can bring about a more harmonious and purposeful way of life. Also, accepting the fact that the ideal mix of work and pleasure is different for everyone. Using this theory helps in the development of a foundation for mental, physical, and emotional health, thereby helping to prevent burnout. At the same time, we cannot overlook the fact that there is an inevitably increasing role of technology in our lives, and learning to leverage it to our advantage is a much-needed ethic to avoid digital overwhelm.

In the end, I would just like to state that while multitasking is seen as a sign of an efficient performer, however, at times that may compromise the quality and productivity of the task at hand. I believe that it is important to recognize that our priorities change as we transition through various phases in our personal lives, and professional priorities change throughout one`s career. By remembering this we can honour both, ambitions and personal needs and be happily successful. Please Visit : https://www.linkedin.com/in/rohan-rawat-552a321b
